The Christianburg Volunteer Fire Department was Incorporated on Feburary 29, 1988.
Our coverage area is approx. 36 square miles in rural Monroe County, Tennessee between Sweetwater and Madisonville; which consists of residential, commercial, and agricultural demographics.The Christianburg Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% volunteer department which offers fire, rescue, and EMS services. We respond to structure fires, vehicle fires, brush fires, vehicle accidents with injuries, public/lift assistance, EMS first response, severe weather, natural disasters, search and rescue, and several other calls for assistance. We also participate in several different types of training year-round.
We have 6 different types of apparatus: 2 Tanker Tender Trucks, 2 Pumper Engines, 1 Brush Truck, and 1 First Responder Vehicle. All fully equipped with Fire suppression equipment, vehicle accident rescue (extrication) tools, and Basic Life Support (BLS) equipment for EMS support until an ambulance arrives.
